Joseph Fenk is responsible for Innovation topics within Wireless Solution of Infineon Technologies.
In 1968 he received his diploma in Electronics at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. After having joined SIEMENS Components Division in 1968, Mr. Fenk worked as a Development Engineer on high frequency components in the Discrete Components Group, developing transmitter, aerial and tuner transistors, FETs, Varactor and PIN diodes. In 1976, he joined the Integrated Circuits Group as a Design Engineer for consumer products. He has been engaged in the development of integrated circuits for infrared preamplifiers, prescalers, IF-amplifiers/ demodulators for FM-radio and Satellite-TV, mixer/oscillators for FM radio, TV- and SAT-TV and TV UHF/VHF modulator Ics, as well as for circuits for narrowband FM mobile radio. Advanced RF-chips for mobile communication systems such as GSM/PCN/ WCDMA/PDC or for non cellular systems like RKE/DECT/WLAN as well as building blocks e.g. LNA, mixer, modulator, VCO, PLLs, prescalers etc. have been introduced to the market since 1988. Joseph Fenk holds more than 50 patents relating to IC and system design and has presented technical papers at numerous industry conferences and forums.
