Prof. Dr. Mario Huemer
 
 

Mario Huemer was born in Wels, Austria in 1970. He received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in mechatronics and the Dr.techn. (Ph.D.) degree from the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria, in 1996 and 1999, respectively.
From 1997 to 2000, he was an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Communications and Information Engineering at the University of Linz, Austria. From 2000 to 2002, he was with Infineon Technologies Austria, research and development center for wireless products.
Since 2002, he holds the position of a Professor for Communications and Information Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences of Upper Austria. He has been engaged in research and development on SAW technology, wireless LAN systems, and highly integrated cellular baseband ICs. Within these fields he published over 25 papers. His current research interests are focused on wireless indoor communications, OFDM transmission techniques, and frequency domain equalization techniques for single carrier modulation systems.
Dr. Huemer is a member of the IEEE Communications Society. He is also member of the, Informationstechnische Gesellschaft’ (ITG) in the ‚Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker’ (VDE) and the ‚Österreichische Verband für Elektrotechnik’ (ÖVE).
